A browser window on a muted scene from the open film Sintel, with Duet floating over the edge of the window as its own panel. The panel shows each line of dialogue as it is spoken: mixed English and Spanish, the full Spanish line, and the English line, blurred until you hover it. Under it are the colour key and the scene's script, which follows the film.

Meaning, not words

A few things
to know.

Which languages can I learn?

Spanish, Japanese and Korean, from English.

What do I install?

A desktop app for Mac and Windows. Duet floats on top of your screen, so there is no browser extension to add. One shortcut shows or hides it.

Which sites does it work on?

YouTube and Netflix first. More after launch.

Does Duet cover the video?

Only if you put it there. It floats wherever you drag it: beside the video, under it, or over the black bars.

Can it pause the video for me?

If you want. By default the show keeps playing. Turn on Pause when I ask, and Duet pauses while you read an explanation or talk to the tutor.

How much does it cost?

Early access is free. We will share pricing before it changes.

What does Duet keep?

Your saved words, what you have watched with it, and your settings, on your Mac.
